The highest speed limit in towns, cities and villages is 50 km/h
The citizens of European Union do not need any visas, but it is recommended to have some kind of ID card. It is only in case of any unawaited circumstancies, such as insurance event, or police control when you are driving. Non-European Union visitors may need European visas.
The alcohol when you are driving car is not accepted!
Buying and drinking alcohol and also buying of cigarettes and smoking is allowed only to people, which are over 18 years old.
Smoking in public places, such as bus stops, etc, is prohibited. Smoking is allowed only in restricted areas. When it is inside the restaurant or bar, it must be visible marked, that the smoking is allowed.

Languages in Slovakia:

Official language - Slovak (or some English speaking people knows it as "Slovakian")

Other languages: Czech (understads every Slovak man or woman), English (understand and also speak many young people and also older ones), Hungarian (especially in southern Slovakia), German (western and central Slovakia, but also many people speak as another language, especially young people), Polish (northern Slovakia or approximatelly each Slovak should understand, but cannot speak), Ukrainian and Russian (only in far eastern parts of Slovakia, Slovenian and Yugoslavian languages (some Slovaks understand, but cannot speak), French (only some people).
